Itinerary

Upon arrival in Chennai, you will be taken directly to your hotel where you will have a chance to relax for a while before heading off on a short sightseeing tour.

This city sightseeing tour will begin with a visit to the Kapaleeswarar spiritual temple, which was built around the 7th century AD. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati This temple is well-maintained, peaceful, and extremely divine in its atmosphere. The temple is located among the busy streets, so you don't have to worry about getting food or buying souvenirs.

After holy darshan, you will be taken to your next devotional destination of San Thome Church, which was brought back to life by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century. The charm and dreamlike architecture of this church attracts many visitors of various faiths. It is one of the best preserved and ordered churches in the state.

You will then be taken to India's longest natural urban beach, Marina. Although crowded, this beach is clean and also contains several eating establishments offering a variety of foods. Take a walk on the beach and experience the magnificent sunset.

Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel for a comfortable night.

In the morning you will start your journey to Tirupati Balaji.

On the way, you will visit the Sri Kalahasti Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and located 36 km before reaching Tirupati. Built-in the 5th century, the impressive gopuram rises to a magnificent height of 120 feet and is one of the most important pilgrimage centers for devout Hindus and is also known as the 'Kashi of the South'.

You will then be taken to your destination of Tirupati Balaji Temple, which was built in 300 AD. using classical Dravidian architecture against the picturesque backdrop of the Seshachalam hills. Your darshan at this temple will be booked in advance, so you won't have to queue for crazy hours. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and bring snacks during the visit. Bags and phones are not allowed inside the temple premises, so be sure to leave them inside your car.

After offering your prayers to the lord, you will be taken back to your hotel, where you will spend the night.

This day will mark your journey to Mahabalipuram and along the way, you will be taken to some of the most revered temples in Kanchipuram. Here you will visit the famous Kailasanatha Temple which is the oldest structure in Kanchipuram and was built in 685-705 AD. All the 58 shrines present within the premise are dedicated to various forms of Lord Shiva. The entire temple is adorned with intricate carvings and impressive sculptures.

The next stop in Kanchipuram will be the Vaikunda Perumal temple, known for its magnificent architecture and dedicated to Lord Vishnu as well as being one of the 108 Divya Desam. One of the most spectacular features of the temple is the fact that there are no pillars in the temple and the roof rests on the walls of the great assembly hall of the temple which is decorated with sacred inscriptions. It is not a large temple and it will not take long for you to offer your prayers here.

Finally, you will be taken directly to Mahabalipuram and upon arrival you will be taken on a small local sightseeing tour of the city, starting with a visit to the famous seaside temple.

Located by the beautiful shimmering sea, this temple offers a panoramic view of the endless horizon. One of the oldest stone temples in all of South India, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-see. Be sure to wear hoods to protect yourself from the blazing sun.

Your next stop here will be the famous Pancha Rathas site, a wonderful oasis for architecture enthusiasts. This UNESCO World Heritage site has 5 structures dedicated to the 5 Pandava brothers and each of these monolithic structures resemble a chariot (Ratha) hence the name.

Finally, you will be escorted to your hotel where you will relax and prepare for the next day.

Your trip will conclude today when you will be transferred by road to your destination of either railway station or airport.
